Amey take delivery of 15 trailers

Posted by | Uncategorised | No Comments

Amey were early adopters of the Digadoc concept having used it in their hired fleet for many years with it now being their preferred trailer for mini-excavators. They have subsequently decided to buy an inital 15 trailers to go alongside new Takeuchi TB216.

One addition which has started to be introduced which is equipped on these trailers is self adjusting brakes which will reduce the maintenance needed to be carried out on the trailers.

With repeat purchases from Wales & West Utilities and Scottish Southern Electric there is a growing recognition within the industry regarding the benefits the trailer has which are especially suited to the highly demanding operations within the utilities sector.

Wales & West Utilities take delivery of Digadoc equipped trailers.

We are delighted to announce that Wales & West Utilities have taken delivery of a number of trailers from Brian James Trailers equipped with the DigaDoc safety system. These trailers are to be used with new JCB 801 machines which they are soon to take delivery on. Having attended the first demonstration at a depot near Cardiff they were initially impressed with the trailer however for security reasons they requested a more secure bucket store (as opposed to the heavy duty cargo netting we provide as an option / conventional ratchet straps) and Derrin James from Brian James Trailers managed to full fill their requests with his design  which is pictured. The hinged compartment can be lifted open when access is needed or shut and secured with the digging arm when it is not.

We wish them all the best in the future and hope the trailers make their daily operations that little bit easier.

“UK Energy Innovation Awards” success

Posted by | Uncategorised | No Comments

It was a great result for Digadoc Ltd winning the award in the ‘best safety invention’ category amongst such stiff competition. Being recognised for something we believe is one of the main benefits of the trailer was a great achievement and reinforces the fact that the Digadoc trailer is the way forward in the transportation of mini excavators. These events are established to encourage innovation and development in various different sectors but I think in industries which are fairly prone to accidents they are vital at helping discover solutions to potentially harmful problems, which is what we believe we have achieved. We would like to thank all the sponsors of the night which made the event possible.

The judges comments regarding the category were as follows:

“This was an extremely strong category and judges found it difficult to choose a winner.  Numerous fatal and major accidents have occurred due to the incorrect loading and securing of mini-excavators on trailers.  The Digadoc innovation provides a simple, deskilled and risk free way of securing such  vehicles on to trailers.”
